As part of the cooperation between the Authority and educational institutions, the New and Renewable Energy Authority received a student delegation from Delta Technological University.
On July 8, 2025, a group of 50 students from various technological disciplines at Delta Technological University conducted a field visit to the Zafarana Wind Energy site, operated by the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA).
The visit aimed to enhance the students' practical knowledge, provide firsthand exposure to renewable energy projects in Egypt, familiarize them with the operation and maintenance of wind turbines, and highlight the Authority's role in supporting the national strategy for transitioning to clean and sustainable energy.
The students were accompanied by a group of university faculty members and were welcomed by engineers and site officials from the Authority, who provided a comprehensive overview of the site, its components, and its significance within Egypt’s renewable energy portfolio.
This visit reflects the New and Renewable Energy Authority’s commitment to supporting applied education and bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world practice. It also aligns with the Authority’s efforts to promote a culture of clean energy among the younger generations.
