Photovoltaic Systems
  • Photovoltaic systems applications has been spread for lighting, water pumping, telecommunications, cooling and advertisements purposes on the commercial scale in Egypt.
  • Several projects has been implemented or under preparation by the Ministry of Electricity & Renewable Energy and NREA.
  • Two solar plants were completed using photovoltaic cell systems on the roof of the 42 kW engineering building, The establishment of this plant will provide a strong and clear message to the Authority's commitment to use solar energy applications to produce electricity, similar to the Ministry's headquarters and distribution and electricity production companies.

The number of (4) solar plants for the production of electricity using photovoltaic systems capacity (82) kilowatts in the body of the Commission :
  • The completion of the implementation of (4) stations with a total capacity of 82 kW. Above the roofs of some buildings in the General Authority hall and have been connected to the network as follows :-
  • Power plant (42) kW above the engineering building
  • Power plant (30) kW above the engineering building
  • Power plant (5) kW above the administrative building
  • Power plant (5) KW above the surface of the main water tank
